About Us

Here at the Wedding Dolls we want to help you get the wedding day you want with advice and practical help in planning your wedding within Kent and the surrounding area.

Over the years we have worked in events, pr and marketing, doing many different roles. From helping organise large festivals, concerts, conferences and corporate events to running lifestyle PR and advertising campaigns as well as styling photo and tv shoots, both in the UK and abroad.

Working for these corporate companies we organised events at short notice and to very tight budgets. But when it came to organising a wedding it seemed like you had an invisible rulebook to follow. Exhausting timescales that would make any couple go mad and budgets that flew out of the window at the first chance. But it doesn’t need to be that way.

We offer couples a unique planning service where they can simply buy our expertise by the hour to help get their plans underway or even just to help out here and there with organising some aspects of their day. We also run wedding workshops where Brides can hear from industry experts who will help them formulate their own personal wedding plans and get help where they really need it most. Our next set of workshop dates will be published soon.

We want to help couples stuck in the planning cycle and finding it hard work, to get moving and get married!

Joanne

Jo is an experienced events and wedding organiser. With over 10 years working in events Jo has helped organise everything from large music festivals to small intimate celebrations and everything in between. Jo’s move into wedding planning came about a bit by accident when she was asked to help out at a number of weddings using her event planning experience.  This has grown and Jo has since gained a Diploma in Wedding Planning alongside her qualifications in Event Planning and PR.  She continues to love helping a small number of couples with full wedding planning but now concentrates most of her time on managing our wedding planning events and doing one-to-one consultations for engaged couples.

Emma

Emma has worked in marketing for over 15 years and is a Chartered Marketer. She looks after the blog and the marketing side of the Wedding Dolls, as well as researching new suppliers and venues for couples who attend our planning sessions. Emma has worked in PR, event planning and advertising for the retail, leisure and travel industries both the UK and internationally.  Emma is a freelancer who loves all things social media, blogging and wedding related!
