The Wedding Future

1 Jan

Phew we did it – after a summer full of planning we were glad to finally get our blog going in November 2011 – here’s a quick look back at what we have done so far.

Leaving the ceremony

We got to post some beautiful pictures of one of our couples who got married in Malta and loved featuring bridal wear and accessories galore with Isabella Grace, Cherish Jewellery, Myla, and DC Bouquets.

Had fun meeting local suppliers, brides and friends at wedding exhibitions including The Luxury Wedding Show, where the fabulous catwalk show featured designer wedding dresses from the likes of Vivienne Westwood and Candy Anthony to name just a few of our favourites. We’ve also reviewed dresses by Caroline Castigliano and Alfred Angelo’s Disney Bridal range.

Our beauty reviewer, Emma O’Connor, went to the launch of Lauren Goodger’s (The Only Way is Essex), range of tanning products, as well as sampled products from Mitchell and Peach.

Then just before we wrote our Christmas list for the year, the Wedding Dolls had their very own Rock the Dress shoot. With thanks to Kay Young Photography, model Clare Atkins, and Powder and Glow’s Caroline for a brilliant day.  And a special thank you goes to our little Wedding Dolls who behaved perfectly throughout – much better than their older counterparts!!

For 2012 there’s much to do and we have a real variety of weddings to plan. This alone goes to show that weddings are now becoming completely unique – no two are ever the same!

This year we have an extra challenge as we’ve signed up for the London Moonwalk in May. To get fit we’ll be trying all manner of exercise from boot camps to pole dancing and lots more in-between! We’ll share our journey with you but watch out for our blog post later this week which will give you a head start on getting Wedding Fit!

Happy new year everyone and to all our brides and grooms who are getting married this year – a very wonderful and happy filled 2012!
